Mohammed Shafeeq

Founder & CRO Strategist at ConvFetti

Based in Dubai, UAE

I'm the founder of ConvFetti, a Shopify CRO and development agency based in Dubai. Since 2024, I've led optimization engagements for over 50 e-commerce stores across UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, India, and the US. Across these engagements, the average conversion rate lift we've delivered is 20%, with some stores seeing lifts exceeding 40% within six months of active optimization.

My work spans the full spectrum of conversion rate optimization — from A/B testing and behavioral analytics to Shopify Liquid development, checkout customization, and full-funnel CRO strategy. I've run hundreds of A/B tests across fashion, fitness, beauty, home goods, and B2B stores. Some worked. Many didn't. The ones that failed taught me more about buyer psychology than the ones that won.

What I Believe About CRO

Most e-commerce stores don't have a traffic problem. They have a convincing problem. Brands spend thousands on ads to bring visitors to their site, then ask those visitors to navigate a checkout process that hasn't been looked at in months, on a mobile experience that was never designed for the thumb, with trust signals buried three scrolls deep. The traffic isn't the leak. The experience is.

I also believe that CRO is undersold by agencies that rely on generic UX checklists and oversold by agencies that promise results in 30 days. The truth is in the middle: meaningful conversion improvement is a compound process. Month one is diagnostics. Month two and three are first tests and failures. Month four through six is where the compound lift starts to show. Anyone who promises a 50% lift in a month is either running easy wins or not being honest about the data.

How I Work

Every engagement starts with an audit — not a UX checklist disguised as one, but a deep dive into analytics, session recordings, heatmaps, and the actual customer journey. I want to know where buyers hesitate, where they leave, and what they expected to see but didn't. From there, we build a hypothesis stack — ranked by potential revenue impact — and begin testing.

I use Hotjar and Microsoft Clarity for behavior analytics, VWO and Optimizely for A/B testing, and GA4 for performance measurement. But tools are just instruments. The real work is in understanding the buyer's mental model — what they're thinking when they land on your store, what question they're trying to answer, and whether your page answers it before they lose patience.

What Sets ConvFetti Apart

We publish our data. Across 50+ store audits, our median baseline CVR at engagement start is 1.1%. After six months of active CRO, the median reaches 2.3%. We share our failures publicly — the sticky add-to-cart bar that lifted CTR but dropped CVR, the PDP image reduction that cost 7% in conversions, the A/B test that reached statistical significance but had no business impact. These stories are more valuable than any case study because they tell you what doesn't work, which saves you from making the same mistakes.

I publish research and frameworks on Shopify conversion optimization here at convfetti.com, on LinkedIn, and in our monthly newsletter. If you run a Shopify store and want an honest look at what's costing you conversions, reach out.

“Two years in and they're still with us. Didn't just build the store — still showing up when campaigns need fixing. That kind of consistency is hard to find.”

We leaned on ConvFetti for Vishu, Onam, and other festival pushes. The landing pages actually converted — we doubled last year's revenue. Rare to find a team that gets both CRO and seasonal timing.

Three months in, our conversion rate was up 40%. No endless strategy decks — just clear fixes on the product and collection pages that actually move numbers for a catalog our size.

We needed pages that felt premium but still loaded fast. ConvFetti got that balance right — sharp design, clean build, and everything went live when we needed it to.

Most dev teams ship the theme and disappear. ConvFetti understood why people were dropping off and cleaned up the whole flow. Storefront and ops finally feel aligned.

Karriere-Campus DE had to go live quickly for the German market. ConvFetti built the site in a few days — not a rushed template, something polished enough we could launch with confidence.

Moving from Amazon to Shopify felt overwhelming at first. ConvFetti handled setup, product pages, and checkout — we went from zero to live without the usual migration chaos.

Fudsy needed an online grocery setup that could handle fresh products and cold-chain delivery across Poland. ConvFetti built checkout and catalog fast — something we could actually run day to day.

ConvFetti designed the product UX for Score AI and the Redge Fit app with our team. Clean flows, sharp UI, and handoffs our developers could ship without the usual design-to-dev back-and-forth.
